“We played Dungeons & Dragons for three hours, then I was slain by en elf.” – Homer Simpson
“Listen to yourself, man, you’re hanging with nerds.” – Bart Simpson
“You take that back!” – Homer Simpson
“Homer, please, these boys sound very nice, but they’re clearly nerds.” – Marge Simpson

Happy birthday Conan O’Brien!

I hate elves: Always pompous jacasses, and if crabgrass was called elf grass, everyone would love it.

Lisa: “Nerds are nothing to fear, Dad. In fact, some nerds of note include popcorn magnate Orville Redenbacher, rock star David Byrne, and Supreme Court Justice David Souter.”

Homer: “Oh, not Souter! Oh no!”

I think Chris Loudon and Mike Fontanelli animated this sequence.

Huh, I never knew Fontanelli worked on the Simpsons.

And I think I remember your name from a blog years ago, you blogged about trains and reviewed anime (if you are who I think you are).

In Zombie Simpsons they would’ve. And it would’ve ended with Hans Moleman for some reason.

No Zombie Homer would not have cut him…today’s Homer would probably have jabbed that knife in Bart’s eye.

Ren and Stimpy was great at that: Half the fun was watching the characters contort themselves and scream as they became disturbed–although the great jokes, clever ideas, amusing characters and colorful settings were just as good. Seriously, that show was as great, innovative and imaginative as The Simpsons, The X-Files and Arrested Development and just as much an example of a show that will never be equaled.
