When I grow up, I’m going to Bovine University!
I think my favorite joke made entirely of a cutaway in the entire series is the scientist’s reaction of “uhh” to Troy’s “We ask this *scientoglosit*…”.

Damn! Sorry, you’re right. I f-ed up the joke.
You were right about that being an excellent use of a cutaway, though. One of the best.
Was that really a cutaway? In an educational film, “we now ask X” and briefly they show X… I dunno, for me a “cutaway” gag is when one says something like what would happen if X and Y got together, and then they show it. It kinda amplified the humor, and is really good when used within context, and totally bad when used as Family Guy does it (i.e. out of the blue).

Just couldn’t resist piling on, eh? :) Whatever you wanna call it, it’s funny.
Animated by Mike Marcantel.
Look at the background characters SHOWING emotion.
Clearly this is an episode from the future when computers can animate such complex expressions as the two boys in orange shirts.
Obviously, they’ve perfected digital eyelash rendering
