Sunday Preview: Grampy Can You Hear Me

Grampa gets a hearing aid and finally hears what everyone has been saying about him; Mr. Skinner discovers that his mother has kept a secret from him.

It’s been a while since I watched this show, but I am not sure what ‘everyone has been saying about him’. I am pretty sure one of the biggest things this show does is to illustrate the insane level of neglect the Simpson family bestows upon Grampa.

I can’t find who the guest star is this week, if there even is one, but I only spent about 8 seconds looking. Enjoy.

Sunday Preview: A Father’s Watch

Marge turns to a series of parenting experts for advice when she becomes worried that Bart is destined for failure; Homer decides to open a trophy store; Grampa gives Bart a watch coveted by Homer.

Oh joy. An episode of zombie simpsons where inter-generational issues arise. Excuse me while I get a pen so I can jot down the issues that are similar to the ones I have with my father. Oh wait, never mind, I am not watching this crap. Have a day.

Sunday Preview:  22 for 30

Bart goes from delinquent with detention to the star basketball player at Springfield Elementary!

I don’t watch a lot of sports analysis on tv, but I do enjoy the occasional ESPN 30 for 30. I don’t know where this is going tonight, or why a short, fat, yellow kid from the suburbs is on it, but here we are.  Also apparently the mafia is the involved, so we got that going for us too.

Sunday Preview: The Cad and the Hat

When Bart betrays Lisa, he has to deal with his guilt – literally. Meanwhile, Springfield is in awe when Homer is revealed to be a chess savant.

Sure, why not. Homer didn’t pass remedial science in high school, but he can play chess. Paton Oswald has decided to put his fingerprints on this murder scene, so hopefully that works out for him. Also apparently he is voicing Bart’s manifestation of guilt, which means we are probs going to hear a lot of guilty horn music. Well, you will, I am not watching.

Sunday Preview: The Great Phatsby

Mr. Burns plots revenge against the music mogul who conned him with help from the mogul’s ex-wife, rapper Jazzy James, Homer and Bart.

So tonight is an hour long episode of zombie simpsons, which means we are in for a treat. It is what I assume to be a cross promotional episode for Empire, as Taraji P Henson is guest voicing, along with the RZA, Snoop Dog and Common. Also Keegan Michael Key is allowing his fingerprints to be on this train wreck, which is unfortunate as I find him quite entertaining.

Long and short of it is that tonight fox is going to show us what really happens when you try to shove 60 minutes of shit in a 30 minute bag.

Sunday Preview: Dad Behavior

Homer finds a new app that makes his life much easier and outsources his father-son bonding. Meanwhile, Grampa finds that he is about to be father again.

Matt Leinart will be guest voicing tonight, as will Dan Fouts. This app apparently must have something to do with NFL quarterbacks, although why they picked a first round hall of famer and a man who was forgotten several years ago is beyond my ability to reason. Enjoy.

Sunday Preview: Havana Wild Weekend

When the Retirement Castle and V.A. Hospital can’t help Grampa with his health problems, the Simpsons decide to take a family trip to Cuba so they can get him some cheap medical care.

Perhaps the stars have aligned to allow zombie simpsons fans an opportunity to see this episode before president elect trump reverses any progress we made normalizing relations with Cuba… …but I digress.

Sunday Preview: There Will Be Buds

Homer gets roped into coaching the kids’ lacrosse team with Milhouse’s dad, Kirk, who is in desperate need of a friend. When Kirk gets too clingy, Homer vents about how much of a loser he is. Kirk overhears his rant and disappears, right when the team needs him most: the championship game…

Joe Mantegna shows up tonight as Fat Tony, so I think we have to assume that Homer is a shitty coach but the team does well with Kirk at the helm, Homer places a bet on the championship game and needs Kirk to win it when he has a last second realization that he is not the reason the team has done well. Sorry for the runon sentence, but i am trying to finish the post as fast as possible so that I can go back to pretending that zombie simpsons has been cancelled.

Sunday Preview: Trust But Clarify

Lisa and Bart investigate Krusty’s suspicious new “Krustaceans” candy. Meanwhile, Homer wants a promotion at the nuclear plant and asks Marge to help him dress the part, and news anchor Kent Brockman struggles to find his feet in the changing media world.

Dan Rather apparently decided to be part of this episode as himself. I am sure that could be taken as some sort of indicator, but I am too lazy and drunk to think about it.

Sunday Preview “Treehouse of Horror XXVII”

In this annual Halloween-themed episode, Mr. Burns holds a Hunger Games-style contest in which the children of Springfield battle each other. Also, Lisa’s imaginary friend becomes jealous of her real friends, and Moe tells Bart that the bar patrons are really covert agents.

When I was a kid, THOH was a close to Halloween as possible. This 2 week out crap is a crock. Why even do it? No one would notice if you stopped kicking the corpse of what was (albeit 20 years ago) a holiday institution for people my age. Also it sounds like it is going to suck anyway. Probably. I didn’t actually read the episode description that I cut and pasted above.

Sunday Preview “The Town”

Homer plans a family “hate-cation” trip to Boston in an attempt to show Bart that Boston is a terrible city.

I guess Homer catches Bart rooting for a football team that is not Homer’s favorite, so it is time to crap all over Boston the way only zombie Homer can. Maybe this time they will spring for the bus with bathrooms, unlike the time Homer hated on a major US city 19 YEARS ago. But I digresss.

Sunday Preview: Fland Canyon

Fland_Canyon_promo_1

Homer recalls a tense family vacation to the Grand Canyon with the Flanders family

It appears FOX is now putting as much effort into writing their episode descriptions as I have been at previewing them. There are 14 words in that description. I guess it will be a flashback episode? I equally don’t know or care. I have heard some buzz that there will be a Disney animation styled couch gag, so i guess that’s tonights draw. After tonight there are only 3 more episodes until summertime, so we got that going for us.

Sunday Preview: How Lisa Got Her Marge Back

How_Lisa_Got_Her_Marge_Back_Promo_1

After a mother-daughter spat, Marge takes Lisa to Capital City, where, after enjoying a musical, the show’s star sings Marge’s praises to remind Lisa how lucky she is to have such a special mom. Meanwhile, Bart is bummed that everyone expects him to be the ultimate prankster, so he recruits Maggie to help him trick people.

Andrew Rannells will voice himself tonight, so he must be show’s star that sings Marge’s praises. This won’t come close to being as funny as “The Book of Morman”, but I am going to give him a pass. Only because I almost pissed my pants at that show however.

Sunday Preview: The Burns Cage

The_Burns_Cage_promo_2

Smithers is upset with Mr. Burns’ lack of affection towards him, so Homer plays matchmaker and tries to find him a boyfriend. Meanwhile, Bart maneuvers the removal of the lead in the school production of “Casablanca,” leaving Milhouse as a subpar understudy, which frustrates his costar, Lisa.

Happy Sunday all. Tonight’s episode should prove for ‘great’ Homer hijinks, as he will try to get Smithers hooked up.   In the B Plot we will probably get to see Milhouse cry more than once. I am pretty sure they have already used the character in the above promo pic for a gay guy voiced by Hank Azaria, who I would guess is going to voice him again tonight.  Unless of course the character of ‘Julio’ is being voiced by tonight’s guest: George Takei. I wouldn’t put it past anyone on the staff, but I guess we’ll see.

Sunday Preview: The Marge-ian Chronicles

The_Marge-ian_Chronicles_promo_4

Not feeling unique, Lisa signs up for the Mars One Space Colony – to Marge’s dismay. Then, Marge hires Bart to go through the tryout process with Lisa to make her want to quit.

Lisa doesn’t feel unique so she goes on a suicide mission. It’s a story as old as time. Marge doesn’t want her to go so she ‘hires’ a family member to stop it. Another age-old tale.

That’s it, I cannot work under these conditions. If anyone wants me I will be downstairs at McDougal’s.  …Call the weekend guy, I don’t care.

Sunday Preview: Lisa The Veterinarian

Lisa_the_Veterinarian_promo_1

After performing CPR on a tased raccoon, Lisa discovers her calling to be veterinarian and becomes an intern at the local office, but learns a tough lesson when her neglected class hamster dies. Meanwhile, Marge moonlights as a crime scene cleaner for a little extra money, and the trauma of the gory scenes make her increasingly dead inside.

Again with the parody of the classic names. In all fairness there are only so many combinations of words,  and this is like episode 589.  Michael York guest voices tonight, although I know nothing about him other than he has guest voiced before, in season 17. I can’t tell you if he was any good because I had stopped watching 5 or 6 YEARS earlier.

Sunday Preview: Much Apu About Something

Much_Apu_About_Something_promo_2

Sanjay passes his stake in the Kwik-E-Mart to his millennial son, Jay, who turns it into a hip, health food market against Apu’s insistence on tradition. Bart, whom Homer had convinced to give up pranking, is called upon to return to his trickster life and take down the new store.

I will say that it’s good to know that the current waiting period to shit all over your own house is 19 years, 8 months. That was when “Much Apu about Nothing” aired.  I know this isn’t the first time zombie simpsons has parodied a Simpsons parodied title, but this is the first time it has bothered me for some reason. Anyway enjoy. Charlie tells me we have a few week’s reprieve after this one.

Sunday Preview: Paths Of Glory

Paths_of_Glory_promo_2

Lisa searches an abandoned asylum and a restaurant that caters to men in an effort to restore the damaged reputation of Springfield’s first female inventor. While at the asylum, Bart steals a notebook belonging to a homicidal patient and passes it off as his when he returns to school. When Homer and Marge find out, they start to believe their son’s a sociopath, and Bart runs with the idea.

Well I don’t think there is much I say that would add to this preview. Feminism, insane asylums, Bart causing mischief; it’s got something for everyone.  I would wager we will get to see Bart spend time in a children’s asylum or something, but that seems like a prime place for a few cameo voices and I didn’t see any guest names when I quickly checked earlier. That means nothing however, and I am not going to spend any more time on it.

Sunday Preview: Lisa With An “S”

Lisa_with_an_%22S%22_promo_1

When Homer loses $5,000 at a poker game with Broadway legend Laney Fontaine, the only way he is able to settle the bet is if he loans Lisa to Laney for a month. Then, Laney turns Lisa into a show biz kid and Marge and Homer fear they made a mistake letting her go. So they head to New York to get her back.

Well this is probably some record for laziness on my part. The episode airs 15 minutes from now and I am just putting this up. Not that it really matters. Anyway for tonight,  Homer basically sells his kid for a month to clear gambling debts, it’s a story as old as time.  I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed the sudden realization I had failed to complete the most basic of tasks that I only have to do like 20 times a year.

Sunday Preview: Friend with Benefit

Friend_with_Benefit_Promo_1

Lisa makes a new pal at school named Harper, whose internet billionaire father becomes buddies with a different Simpson: Homer. Soon, though, Lisa becomes worried that Harper is a little too entitled

Sounds like there will be some Homer shenanigans tonight, not that there isn’t in every other zombie simpsons episode, but I can’t think of anything else to write.  Kristen Bell will be the voice of Harper, so even money there is a sloth in the show at some point.
